  • designating all consumer routers manufactured outside the U.S. as a security risk

    So this is horseshit, right?

First of all, ALL routers from ANY country are a security risk? Every single other nation is trying to make Spyware for the average American consumer? Doubt.

Second, they are extremely concerned with all consumers’ security from foreign actors to the point it needs an outright ban on hardware to protect us. God forbid I buy an AVM router from Germany and open up my home networking to German Spies. What if they find out I sometimes visit porn websites and yourube!?

Third, that the US government, themselves, are trustworthy and wont force backdoors into systems to allow them unfettered access into private networks, something that they HAVE TRIED TO AND SUCCEEDED TO DO IN THE PAST. And also something that they are very clearly opening the door for with all of these legal pushes toward requiring age verification software and OS’s. They want to ban foreign routers so that you have to buy routers from companies that they can control. They can ask, coerce and force them to give them access behind the scenes for some bullshit excuse (“protect the kiddies”, “law enforcement”, “national security”, “terrorism”), force them to not tell the public, and then “secretly” monitor every device in the entire country. They are almost certainly already doing this with a significant number of US manufacturers and software developers.

    Fuck these fascists.

  • No I know he wanted to, absolutely. I know he wanted to with every fiber of his being. And I have no doubt that he absolutely would have. But his ex wives also knew what he was.

I heard a woman tell the story of going to Maralago with her teenage daughter and being pulled aside by Mrs. Trump and being told to not let any of he men near her daughter, especially Donald. The former Mrs Trump later denied this publically, but we all know that that happened.

Given they knew, and could almost certainly destroy him if they were inclined, I can see a world where he was told that if he crossed that line, it would be the end of his public reputation and probably his life as a free man. And I can also see him taking out his sexual frustrations on these trafficked girls. I’ve seen, I think, two separate instances where it’s been mentioned that he showed particular interest in blondes or, even more explicitly, a girl that looked like Ivanka and was of a similar age. Dude could have been raping other girls that looked like Ivanka specifically because he couldn’t rape his own daughter.

But of course, there is a real possibilities that he did in fact sexually abuse or rape Ivanka. I think it’s notable that she doesn’t seem to be at all involved in his second administration. And he doesn’t mention her much really anymore. Maybe some bad history boiled over? Maybe he crossed that line even now? Idk.

  • Frankly it seems more like a mild inconvenience then actual prevention. I don’t really care how smart a software gets, it can’t predict and prevent all possible configurations of prints that could possibly be used to create functioning guns without being so overly restrictive that even perfectly innocent prints would get flagged constantly in which case they simple won’t sell to normal users.

It would be a constant game of whack a mole with new creative designs, using multiple printers or with non-printed parts in the design. But no hardware or software that a smart enough engineer has their hands on is impervious to mods either, especially if they’re motivated like someone seeking to produce firearms would be.

It’s an overreaching law that will likely solve little to nothing, but might make 3d printers in general a bit more annoying to work with. “Sorry, you can’t make your dice tower because there’s a 16 percent change that it could be capable of firing an RPG out of the dragon’s mouth. Please make your design at least 12 percent less gun-ish and try again.”

  • Fucking never. Never ever. I’d sooner cut myself off from all technology and live in the woods than willingly give those creepy fucks my middle goddamn name. There is absolutely nothing good that will come from this company. The people at that company literally fucking movie villains. It’s fucking crazy that absolutely anyone works with them, let alone world governments.

These large scale surveillance companies like Palantir, like Flock, they shouldn’t exist. They should be outlawed. Our government needs probable cause and a warrant to surveil a suspect. If a normal civilian followed you around and filmed you, kept track of you at all times, they’d be arrested for stalking. But for some reason private companies can just watch every man, woman, and child in public and online, catalog all our movements, where we went, how we went there, who was with us, track what we do, what we read, who we know, how we spend our time, what we say, etc., and then permanently log all of that, use it to form dociers on us, predict our behaviors, or desires, ways to manipulate us, and then turn around and sell that data to governments, other companies and private parties. How the fuck is that legal.

Why in the fuck would you ever allow a private, profit-driven company to have that kind of power over your nation, let alone reward it with federal dollars, long term contracts and access to our law enforcement and military data and systems?

Worse, the founders and CEO are unhinged wannabe dictators trying to form their own sovereign techno-states. They’re not even secretive about that. And our goverment is fucking funding these nuts and giving them every detail of the lives of our citizenry, our goverment officials, our military… how fucking stupid do we have to be, guys? I wish I could say it’s just Trump but it’s not. It’s mind boggling.

  • Richard Pinheiro was found guilty of a misdemeanor charge of fabricating evidence in 2018 and received a three-year suspended sentence and two years of supervised probation, according to the Baltimore Sun.

How in the hell is malicious fraud that results in destroying someone’s livelihood, reputation, and freedom with years of jailtime only a misdemeanor with a suspended sentence and probation. This kind of egregious action is waaaaay more damaging to the public welfare and safety than an individual possessing drugs for personal use, and yet the former gets you a “shame a on you”, and the latter rips you from your family, your job, your life. This is some backwards shit.

  • He said that until Trevor Noah, no one, absolutely no one, has ever even suggested that Trump has been to Epstein’s Island… I’m trying to figure out if he’s just seeing how absolutely blatantly, obviously, provably he can lie and still make some brain dead MAGAs believe or at least parrot him and allow him to write their reality for them … or if his dementia has made him genuinely aghast at the “first” time someone has suggested such a thing becuase he thinks it is.

The problem with diagnosing a pathologically lying narcissistic megalomaniac with dementia is telling the difference between patently absurd lies asserted with every ounce of his being, and genuine confusion from his broken brain.
