As title says unable to seek in videos after update.
Today it updated and it started happening to me too, not only I can’t seek, the mute and pause buttons don’t work either. It’s like once in full screen the whole interface can’t be touched.
While on the feed: I can unmute.
On full screen: the controls related to the video don’t work, the others (close, up/down vote, open comments, etc) work fine.
Same problem. Hoping for a fix.
Same problem since the update. Deleting and reinstalling the app does not fix the issue. / Issue resolved for me in latest update January 15th 2026. thanks
Some Lemmy instances, including lemmy.world, are misconfigured for video/audio streaming. If the video is hosted on one of those instances, that could be the reason.
It is for multiple instances and was not an issue till the update.
