The URL is the image’s address. Don’t know how the apps work as I always use a browser. Clicking the title of the post takes me directly to where the image is uploaded on the web.
Even if it works 100% of the time, referencing media on a different domain is probably not ideal. It introduces unnecessary tracking, and the website operator could change it after the fact. (I think somebody did that to make images NSFW, once upon a time.)
Pretty sure there’s something wrong with the app you’re using, it’s very high quality for me and all info is easily readable using summit.
