Hold the Fucking C-suites accountable

Wholeheartedly agree that the problem is the addictive and predatory nature of these platforms. I don’t see how that would change under the current perpetual growth economy we all live under

You’d be surprised with what parents let their kids do. My little anecdotal sample size contains mostly highly educated people but most of them don’t place any restrictions on screen time of their kids. They claim they talked to their kids and they have assured them they don’t look at anything they are not supposed to but that’s just not what happens in reality.
What really happens is that the kids with no restrictions will engage with all the predatory bullshit on these platforms, nonstop. I can see this with my own eyes and my kid brings their friends over.
Communication is key but unfortunately the business model of these platforms is based on addiction and children are not equiped to deal with it and parental controls are an essential component.

Hiccups: repeat in your head “I don’t have hiccups, hiccups don’t exist”. Repeat these phrases a few times and the hiccups should be gone.
It has worked everytime since I learned this a couple of years ago.

Miranda from Mass Effect

We could reach any point in the visible universe in 2 years.
Jesse, what the fuck are you talking about?
The observable universe is a spherical region of the universe consisting of all matter that can be observed from Earth; The radius of this region is about 14.26 gigaparsecs (46.5 billion light-years or 4.40×1026 m).
Traveling at the speed of light from earth to the edge of the visible Universe, would take around 23 billion years.
Outside of a human body, a calorie is a calorie. Once inside being digested things get more complex. What I stated was not pulled out of thin air, take a look here
The truth is: Energy measurements of foods do not accurately reflect the energy a human body will get out of them.
Not to mention the fact that different people get different energy out of the same foods, since an integral part of our digestive system are hundres of different species of bacteria that vary between humans.

Bodybuilding style Lifting. Wish I knew that science based influencers are just using science as a gimmick to make new videos and bold claims for short form content.
Lifting is hard when done right but its not super complex. The basics are the same they were decades ago:
Yeah. Fruits have sugars but they come “packaged” differently and impact our bodies differently
Nuts are very caloricly dense, yes but since they are whole foods they do not have the same effect on your weight as a processes snack with the same amount of calories (say chips or candy). If you’re gonna snack on something, whole foods are always better.
Damn, thats tough, you have strict limitations on the level of physical exertion you can do. This means that your diet is really the only realistic way to manage your weight.
You mentioned you already eat healthy snacks but if you are still overweight, you have been eating more kcal than you use, over a long period of time. Tracking calories is not fun but have you tried it? Its not something you need to do forever, just long enough to have an understanding of what you need to eat.
Yes, yes we are.
