My response concerned the duopoly though. Graphene is still dependent on google regardless. They can’t maintain all of android themselves even if they tried. So it’s the best of a bad situation but does nothing to alleviate the overall problem.

It’s a real shame Bell Labs started this slippery slope with gecos half a century ago. Slippery indeed.
It added an age data box not unlike the already existing fields that can contain name, phone number, etc. which are not in use to verify you either.
You can label anyone what you will but given the technically inclined who understand things here I encourage you to look again.
Age verification is BS but adding a data field along with other existing ones isn’t doing anything by itself, especially as the distros themselves would have to be made to use it.

I think that all depends on what else there is to invest in. In general, as terrible as ai is, it’s carrying the stock market. Investors need something else to turn to to divert away from AI.

Big disagree here. Still offer a jack, SD card, etc. Worth way more to me than a high end processor that I don’t use any more than a mid range one.

I have one. It’s honestly not bad. The only thing it could use is 8GB RAM and not 4. Otherwise it’s perfectly good for my uses. Seems quick enough, has a jack, etc.
