You generally take down the details of the ID presented at the time of attestation. Records can be found as they are public. Notaries can’t notarise a document other than an official one.

Notarisation is basically “this person said that they are who they are and I looked at their documents and reasonably believed that was true”.

You likely aren’t in this scenario. There isn’t really something that you can bring to a notary that says “I am over 18” but wish to remain otherwise anonymous.

Mandatory driving school for everyone (except reciprocal agreements), first aid training, much more time- and cost-expensive path to obtain a licence, eye test by optometrist, high failure rate for exams (though this is possibly suspect)

I read that Germany formerly didn’t have expiry for licences but it seems you now do. Isn’t there also a requirement to carry first aid in the car? Not sure about that.

I also like the law that requires you to pull off the road during gridlock to allow emergency vehicles to pass and to force people to stop and give accident victims aid.

I grew up in a very similar house. This is indeed uncommon.

My advice:

• you’re doing great by going to therapy
• get out of the house at all costs as soon as possible (today if possible)
• wherever you end up, you will have a rough go, but you will find work and a way to support yourself. You’re a good person, and people want to work with good people
• in your new city, join a volunteer group. This will help you to understand that there are good people out there, that you can make a positive difference in the lives of people with similar experiences, and that there’s good in the world. Social connectedness is very strongly correlated with happiness
• people can begin to resemble their abusers but sometimes they become saints. You’re on the right trajectory, keep up the good work
