No, I’d say there’s a difference. It’s like someone who likes all colors vs. someone who’s colorblind.

I remember listening to an audiobook about Bisexuality some time ago that used a unique but very logical set of definitions. Those were:

• Straight: attracted to gender(s) that are not the same as yours
• Gay: attracted to gender(s) that are the same as yours
• Bi: attracted to gender(s) that are yours as well as gender(s) that are not yours
• Pan: Attraction is independent of gender

So someone who isn’t Nonbinary being attracted to someone who is NB could still count as Straight by that definition. You could also count an Enby as straight if they’re attracted to both male and female presenting people, but not other Enbies.
But honestly, it’s just a fun framework and people should be able to describe themselves however they like. The semantics of their category doesn’t really matter after all.

It was kinda nice to gauge how controversial a user tended to be. i.e. if someone had thousands of posts and comments but their total karma was basically zero, you could assume that they either just posted in very niche communities and noone saw their posts, or that they were a shithead who farmed downvotes regularly.
Actually now that I think about it, lemmy’s public modlog is a way better system for that haha

I’m liking it, in moderation. Just rolling out of bed, turning on my computer and making coffee on company time right away is very time efficient. It’s also nice that I can work in peace and ignore coworkers whenever I need to.

The downside is that it’s pretty annoying to collaborate on things, especially if it’s with more than one person at a time. Gotta schedule a meeting, even if in person it would just be a thing of walking over and talking to them for 5mins.

My ideal mix is 4 days wfh : 1 day in-office. I get all the talking out of the way on that one day (plus it’s enough socialization for the whole week) and the rest I just exist in peace.
