for me its not only the glacier pace of progress… its also the lack of scientific motivation.
this didnt happen for science… its a political tool
old, stupid

you lack reading comprehension skills. the value was to my ex employer, obviously.
i love how in your infinite ignorance you ignored the fact i bolted purposefully. fuck off you piece of shit
annd the other point you seem to be missing is the internal pipelines this shit is currently fucking automating. its not about end users using tokens, or idiots generating images with 6 fingers. its about businesses moving and processing data, replacing humans that used to do that shit.
it has ZERO to do with “im trying to bundle ai into my new shiny app, buy it!”
idiots.

maybe youre new here but big business likes it when they save money. value.
I exited purposefully

lucky bastard
lets hope the humans in your area are less greedy than those here, else its only a matter of time

i cant understand why people are oblivious to the multi-faced war-front that is AI.
theres the shit you hear about and see every day (oh look copilot shit the bed! claude cant add! teehehee look at all the extra fingers!) and then theres the shit that is actually being implemented in process models all over the place in nearly every department. from inventory to healthcare analysis to customer service, this shit is in daily use now … and you cannot avoid it.
ai is just an api call away and software companies suck.

im an ex corp drone whose value was replacing humans with automation.
it sucks, its already exists, it will happen more. llms are already in these pipelines and theres nothing any of us can do to avoid it.
im not saying its good. im not saying it should be. im saying, it exists right now cuz ive been a part of it.

haha, k. its clear you dont, but thats ok.

you do know at some point the whole ‘hallucinations’ line is going to be as fresh as calling things ‘woke’, right?
the ‘does this thing have ai in it’ is already a fucking blur as businesses link to each other via private and public APIs… healthcare is no different.
these things are already in place in many places. if youre a part of any nation wide health services, youre already impacted.
its like the fact that a huge % of our GDP is tied to like 10 companies… you cannot live your life in the modern united states without suffering products or services from those 10 companies, full stop. your life with ai will look the same.
can you work hard avoid shit and cry about it? yep. yep you can… but thats about it.

id request further information. is the LLM used for secondary analysis? is it the primary and the doctor evaluates the results manually?
‘ai’ is just a tool in the right hands that can be beneficial. that said, it absolutely can be used by lazy assholes to pretend to do their job…
so, if you ave the resources to demand ‘no ai’… go for it, but im too poor to demand much, and id be more focused on the use of the ai.

A girlfriend came in built me a bed scrubbed and waxed the kitchen floor scrubbed the walls vacuumed, cleaned the toilet, the bathtub, scrubbed the bathroom floor and cut my toenails and my hair. Then all on the same day the plumber came and fixed the kitchen faucet and the toilet and the gas man fixed the heater and the phone man fixed the phone.
Now I sit in all this perfection.
It is quiet. I have broken off with all 3 of my girlfriends. I felt better when everything was in disorder. It will take me some months to get back to normal: I can’t even find a roach to commune with. I have lost my rythm. I can’t sleep. I can’t eat. I have been robbed of my filth.

I agree, we font

ive got some bad news for you. its not.
generation will get better and better, you will just be unable to tell the difference… as you have already not noticed.

i agree with you and everyone else here. you are finding the wrong people in the wrong places.
that said… sorry, but ‘everyone’ isnt making 2-300k everywhere. you are causing your own bias somehow, somewhere in your selection process. there is no other rational explanation using, ya know, math.

lemmy does not federate with mastodon/the twitterverse…
i believe there is a one-way mechanism for twitterverse posts to be used an inbound content stream for lemmy (like rss ) but thats it… one direction.
i dont think theres anything you can do to make that happen short of some janky bridge.
i subscribe to lots of peeps from the twitterverse… i can reply to/comment on posts, see other comments, upvote/boost, etc… kbin is dead long live mbin.

unless somethin new has happened, lemmy doesnt fully federate to mastodon/the twitterverse. interaction is very limited.
its one of the reasons i use mbin instead of lemmy
well, remember mastodon is just a platform of the twitterverse side of the fediverse.
theres more than just mastodon! george takei (@georgetakei@universeodon.com) is a good one…i also enjoy the devils panties (@DevilsPanties@mastodon.sdf.org)

on mbin multiple link posts are displayed so i can pick which one across the verse has the most comment activity in which to partipate

ive been buildin ‘solutions’ like this for 30 years. what the llms have done is reduce my time to maybe a few minutes, and lowers the barrier to entry to the technically ignorant.
lowering that barrier still leaves a non-insignificant portion who want it bundled up and handed to them with a bow on it. plenty of people are happy to pay for a supported product and have no desire to attempt resolving the underlying issue/resource themselves.
fair… i grew up with the shuttle… we were constantly reminded about the science
even that sucked due to the politics… as i would later find out the shuttle was stupidly inefficient but profitable for some
