  • Hello! Heed me op, got your fix right here. There’s a goofy filler neck that comes off sometimes, a couple people have marked where it’s supposed to be with red squares. It’s gone though! There will be a hole in the top/side of the valve cover there with lord knows what field expedient solution plugging it. ~Mine~ was a chunk of radiator hose that came up to the original location with the original cap jammed back in it to retain convenient access, but we can’t all be the world’s greatest shadetree mechanic. Here’s a video of some nerd actually fixing it with factory parts like a big dumb loser with way more money than me, just to help you find it:

  • If you tried to make them today, you would just be a poser.

False. Idolizing that snapshot and discouraging human output misses the point entirely and is the worst poser take on the subject I can imagine. Curated sips of ancient counterculture are just pretentious self indulgence if you aren’t drawing inspiration, and disparaging those who would actually participate is extra gross. Go make a zine about how much you love old zines, it’ll be fun

  • I think you must live in a nicer area than I do lol. There’s like two guys with fart cannon Subarus, probably five with straight piped pickups, and uncountable beaters with soup cans/tin foil/hose clamps/rtv/bailing wire doing their best. We have cheap power and everyone wants electric but no one can afford it. There is exactly one Nissan Leaf owned by the school district superintendent. My car was $700 including all the parts to fix it. That’s pretty typical here. Cheapest exhaust I could fit was $800 alone when I looked into it, and almost certainly more now.
