I did get aftermarket pads for them but they are not made for long term listening. But that is beside the point - they show you don’t need to spend $1000 to get great sound and they are only one example of that.

The eye opening moments for me were

1. Listening to $35 Porta Pro headphones and realizing you don’t need a lot of money for great sound

2. ABX testing and realizing I couldn’t tell the difference AT ALL and certainly couldn’t remember the last sound bite well enough to make a real comparison anyway.

The more I hear the more I think there are two avenues going mostly unexplored right now.

1. These guys were BUSY meddling in oligarch bullshit. All sorts of the most rich were networking through him and his ring

2. Who else knew about these goings on? A lot of said rich assholes in his orbit were doing absolutely dastardly things and there are connections mentioned with Russian and Israeli governments. How much did they know and how effectively did they use it to manipulate and/or extort these craven yet very powerful people?

I read this somewhere else but people are also modifying these ebikes to no longer be bikes at all including removing pedals and adding a throttle. I don’t know if an outright ban os the proper step but stiff fines and maybe even confiscation of modded bikes seem justified.

Is that true? I haven’t heard MS say anything about enabling local LLMs. Genuinely curious and would like to know more.

All AI models should be required to be open sourced to compensate humanity for this theft of our labor and ideas.
