I think it’s ridiculous that corporations are simultaneously spending billions on technology that they know doesn’t work. A smart CEO would wait for a real breakthrough, and then invest. Nobody gets it 100% right the very first time. WAIT. Nobody will care if you’re a late bloomer, as long as your software actually lives up to its advertising.
The technology has potential, but right now, potential is all it has.

Knowing how to “read the room” is just as important as any other information an intelligent person may possess. Just because I’m talking about a problem with my car doesn’t necessarily mean I want an exhaustive lecture on fuel pumps. Similarly, knowing how and when to correct someone without hurting their feelings is absolutely vital. Intelligence is a lot less useful if everyone thinks you’re a pedant or an asshole.

I’m okay with it under very limited conditions. To boil it down, I have to be 100% sure that they’re joking. For one thing, people say that shit seriously and then claim “it was just a joke”.
Without things like tone of voice and facial expression for people to go on, you’re gonna be misunderstood sooner rather than later. And yes, you might even find yourself banned. I’d suggest finding a different technique.
