I’m guessing android or synthetic would be a better term here. Bioandroid if it needs to eat (etc) and if skin isn’t just something to blend in.
I don’t have a social circle, so it would really depend on what the point of this is especially long-term (who’s doing it, do dopplegangers act entirely the same).

For me the result makes no difference, but it’s more that there’s no living and there’s very little to do about it other than escapism (so, still nothing).

It’s a civil offense though, not a criminal* one. I mean sure Nvidia actually has the lawyers to fight this (assuming this just doesn’t get quietly reversed as a “mistake”) but often false strikes may as well be legal when the person targeted doesn’t have the time/money/willingness/etc to fight it in court.
* at least at face-value. I guess other charges could happen based on actions and intent (fraud etc), but I wouldn’t expect that to happen without the civil suit nor would I expect the law to actually have the teeth to actually punish a big company for bullying a nobody.
That’s the neat part: I don’t.
I mean… I’m sure it’s possible that there are people out there that’d make it at least better more than 50% of the time. I don’t know about you, but I live in a low-density area (carless) and have no real viable options to meet… anyone really.
The other half of the story is that I too have a brain that isn’t really wired to do that anyway. I never really made friends in school and probably could live underground and would only go half as crazy as people normally do. Put my brain in something mostly mechanical and it’d probably be hard for most people to notice (especially with people not understanding the difference between robots and cyborgs).
Unlike a lot of people, even the internet isn’t really a social space for me either.
