I’m pretty sure that doesn’t work for small corporations where no one else even knows you exist. The share value is likely just going to be the company’s net asset value.

Pricing in the loss only makes sense if it recovered any of the losses. And if it did, I’m pretty sure they would’ve already done it regardless of whether there’s any loss since it would just be pure profit in its absence.

And also have their AIs read another 100 emails for them.

The nice thing about having an instance dedicated to porn is that you can just block one instance, and that gets you 90% of the way there.

Do they have the means to deliver from the rear? I would think that it’s more convenient for the business too if they could do that.

We have streets here that become pedestrian streets during the summer. During those times, delivery trucks come early in the morning while the streets are nearly empty and they stop right in front of the business they’re delivering to. The rest of the year, they have to stop on the side streets because that’s the only place where they don’t block car traffic. They have to wheel everything much further and leave one thing or another unattended while doing so.

So like, just brush your teeth again? What else do people normally do in the morning besides eating?

Why is this a Google link?

I just hold my breath until the feeling goes away.

You can survive off any single food item for some non-zero amount of time. Nothing we know of can allow you to survive forever. The question is always: how long?

You could say the same about people who used the early 2000s Google by entering full questions with natural language and clicking “I’m feeling lucky”. There are always going to be wrong ways to use a tool. But we’re discussing whether there exists a right way. And that right way includes verifying the information you receive, just like you would if you found it through a regular search engine.
The social and environmental costs are real. That’s not the criticism you gave and not what the responses are disagreeing with.

Willingness to look is a pretty important factor. LLMs reduce the personal cost incurred to look up information, similar to how search engines saved us from having to go to the library for every question we had.

We already had subreddit simulator for ages. This isn’t anything new.

The poll didn’t even ask a real question. “Yes AI or no AI?” No context.

The difficulty in training an AI is dependent on data availability. So this is just a question of choosing a language that has the least amount of writing. You can trivially choose any language that doesn’t have a writing system at all and invent a writing system for it. But then you’d also run into the problem of learning the language yourself.
Biking for transit also isn’t much of a workout if you’re relatively fit. There’s a cap to how fast you can go before it becomes dangerous because of obstacles and limited reaction time.
Those same competitors exist even if you steal from them. If raising prices means they make less profit due to those competitors, then they can’t raise prices to offset losses either.
