I miss coffee, but I can’t afford decaff right now. Been drinking a lot of roibis tea recently. Tastes good especially with oat milk and no caffeine

I’ve run into or seen folks who can’t walk away from a bad conversation.

Eating breakfast should be for anyone with an active lifestyle, not just folks with a physical job. And as a coach, the only time I get angry at a student is when they don’t eat breakfast. You’ve got to fuel the work and that starts with consistent eating.

Where I live, pretty rural mountain county, we’ve got like 5 run clubs, 8 mountain bike clubs, 3 ski clubs, a weekly triathlon when it’s warmer out, and just a ton of other community events. Getting in shape is a lot more fun when you have friends that will encourage you. All you have to do is show up consistently.
Run club got me through some very lonely depressed times.

I don’t know if I’ve checked out of technology, I just only use the stuff I want. YouTube can be insidious for me but yeah unless it’s for work I just do some hobby Linux or programming stuff. I prefer e-readers, I access lemmy over the web instead of an app, I mostly use my phone for it’s GPS and communication.
But I get a lot more enjoyment from hanging out with my friends doing outside stuff. Why not get involved in the maker space, do electronics and stuff.

Just because someone reads a book, doesn’t mean that they understand it, and if they’re forced to read something they probably won’t enjoy it.
I think catcher in the rye is a good book for boys of that age to read. The main character is insufferable because he holds views similar to incel culture. Problem is some people identify with Holden.
