we’re clearly not going to agree about this. spam is already illegal, and ISPs are not police.

I checked on local fiber startups, and they don’t have any similar restrictions. I think I should be able to send mail without anything more than an internet connection. the canspam act already makes spamming a crime. I don’t need to be policed by Comcast.

i can still gripe about it.

my biggest gripe is that I’m technically violating my agreement with Comcast by pointing a tld at my IP address and hosting nextcloud and ssh. my second biggest gripe is that they block mail ports so I can’t even self host my mail

someone who only speaks truth to power or just opposes the status quo will almost invariably be downvoted. using those downvotes to identify trolls is just bad practice.
