  • What in the actual fuck. I just spent over an hour reading posts on there. The my life as an Epstein girl is one that really stuck out to me. Like these people are obviously batshit insane. I couldn’t even begin to recall half as many specific details about my own life as these folks are throwing around in bouts of insanity. What causes something like this? Sounds exhausting but they certainly believe what they are talking about, I think? I suppose people night put in a ton of effort LARPing but idk. I’m not sure what I think about all this stuff. I don’t think I’ve ever read anything like this before.

  • Holy mother of Christ, how tf is this even possible:

    New York State plate #LCM8254

    Vehicle: Black 2023 Audi A6

School Zone Speeding Tickets Received in 2024: 563

School Zone Speeding Tickets Received in 2025 To Date: 177

    Total Fines Paid / Owed: $46,636.60 / $11,205.63

Borough Where Most Often Speeding: 100% Brooklyn (563 violations)

Intersection Where Most Often Speeding: Ocean Pkwy and Ocean Court (70 violations)

Also, they mention having a limiter to prevent speeds exceeding 5mph over…I have my adaptive cruise set that way, I’d love to have that as a general option also. I haven’t gotten any tickets but I have caught myself going a bit fast at times, having an automatic limiter would be convenient.

  • Storing data in ram isn’t wasteful though, I have a lot of criticisms of windows but the memory management isn’t one of them. I’d rather have as much predictive content be staged in ram as possible as long as it’s readily dumped out if I go to do something else, which is my experience. Like I don’t earn interest for having unused RAM on my computers (for reference I have an endeavorOS, rhel, fedora, and windows computers under my desk connected to a dual monitor kvm right now; it isn’t like I don’t regularly use/prefer Linux; I mostly access my windows machine via rustdesk for work related stuff I don’t feel like having to dick with on Linux like the purchase order system and Timecard system), I just don’t get this critique.

  • Single father with two school aged kids, mom lives in another state. I’ve turned down a couple higher paying executive roles that have been offered to me the last few years because I don’t know how I could make it work. I get my kids up at 7 and the latest one can’t be to school until 9. I have to start getting them from school at 3:30. I’m sure I could figure it out, plenty of people less fortunate than I am but I guess that I’ve decided that I’m incredibly fortunate that I can always be around and available for my kids and I don’t think I would disrupt that for any amount of money as long as I can provide for them this way. I do miss the social aspects of my colleagues sometimes though which really surprised me.

  • I keep my own recipe binder and put everything in grams but I still use cups or quarts for liquid when it’s like half a cup or more instead of milliliters and liters mostly because it’s more intuitive for me to estimate accurately, likely due to indoctrination. I also use teaspoons and fractions of that, sometimes tablespoons but usually by weight at that amount. I use teaspoons and the fractions because my scale is fairly useless at that small of an amount, especially when I’m combining multiple seasonings into a dish to use while I’m cooking.

Anyway, yeah it takes me some time to create the recipe but I self host mealie and work from home so I’ll just work on them when I have some downtime. But yeah, recipes used to really annoy the shit out of me. I enjoy cooking so much more now that I have my own recipes, I think later this year/next year I’m going to see if I can get a custom book printed that I can give to my kids and loved ones as a Christmas gift.

  • That has been one of the most eye opening things for me in my mid forty’s now. Small injuries I used to shake off same day/over night take weeks/months to fully heal up anymore. I’m significantly more careful and purposeful when using ladders or even just regular chores around the house to keep from straining a joint or ligament. I tweaked my MCL stepping on the edge of my stairs wrong shortly after having to use a cane for a couple months due to a hip injury. That was like two months ago and the ligament is mostly feeling fine now and I can do strength exercises with that leg again but holy shit, this whole thing from when I originally overworked/inflamed my hip cutting down/removing a tree would have never even impacted me five+ years ago and it’s like five months to recover. So yeah, I’m more careful and make sure I take breaks now. It’s just not worth it, slow, careful, and purposeful for me going forward.
