The rates of SA of men is also high. Its a common thing. Granted, perhaps not as common as men who commit SA.

Men, some subgroup of men in particular, are at a higher risk of false accusations than of sexual assault.
Are they? The former seems pretty much unheard of while the latter ain’t uncommon. I think the only subgroup of men where the risk of being “falsely” accused of SA is high are men who commit SA and just don’t believe it is SA. Of course perception of risk can vary and the (perceived) severity of the event matters as well.

I never understood this fear.
Always seems weird when people are more worried about accusations than sexual assault/harassement. The latter seems far more common ime, even if you are seen as a guy.

I wonder what are between the buildings in these low-density cities? 🤔

Activitypub doesn’t connect natively to my toaster.

All activitypub platforms are activity pub. Also, matrix is a protocol, not a client. There’s tons of clients for matrix (element/element x being the main one).

Perhaps the same could be said of all human! /hj
Wild that they are paying so much money to be the test subjects rather than companies just doing it for “free” as they do for a everyone else.

That’s true of all names. Names are still a form of identification. But it doesn’t authenticate that you are a specific person.

Personally I get around by ebike or car. My work is nearly 15kms away, so walking isn’t feasible but it’s a great distance for ebike . And public transport isn’t an option. I bike a good chunk of the time, but occasionally have to pick up stuff for my job and most weeks I visit my parents, which are over 60kms away and regularly need help now that they’re getting older. So I drive at least once a week and don’t think there’s a realistic way around it with my current job.

If you cycle regularly though, you’re probably more prepared to deal with the push and pulls from the air of a large vehicle passing (which they can still surely feel, even if they don’t have to deal with maintaining their balance) and better at maintaining your line. Someone who just never cycles would probably have a lot harder time dealing with both of those so the bus would need to pass further away to make it equivalent, but then you wouldn’t really get that effect of having a wall right next to them. Either way is missing part of the experience.

The biggest dangers are people turning and they’re far more likely to ignore people on sidewalks or underestimate how fast the bike it going. Sidewalks on stroads are not safer than riding in the lane. Its multiple times more dangerous to be on the sidewalk.

Any delivery options? $10/week in tips still is far cheaper than a car insurance alone. Of course picking out better produce is an advantage of in-person.

Sorry, I biked through there a couple times while singing. Its pretty bad, so I don’t blame them.

Is anyone at threat of prison time or at least fines measured in the 100’s of billions, if not trillions?

Swing, go down slides, play some games involving balls, tag?

Keypass has apps which supposedly support autofill (I’ve never bothered with setting them up because I hate using a phone), but it might go through the clipboard. You can also set it to clear the clipboard so its at least not just sitting there indefinitely.

to pass as bicycles legally
Not even legally if you legally define ebikes as only being within the 3-class system. They only pass as ebikes at a glance if they’re going slow enough at the time you look or can’t measure their speed (granted, a decent cyclist can get those well past the 20mph cap were you get assistance even on flat paths and downhill gravity will do that with no assistance from the bike or rider, so it becomes harder to prove without just testing it out).
Nice try doxxer! What’s next? do you want my uncle’s sister’s maiden name? /j
One time I had someone following behind me (didn’t look back, but I could hear them) while I was at college and I was confused why I was being followed (or if I was just imagining it). When I finally got to where I was going (probably about 1km away), the teacher finally told me they were following me because I walk fast and they basically took it as a personal challenge.
