I spent a third of that on a Lectric and it’s been AMAZING.

It’s killing everything that relies on having a computer inside or in-use. Say goodbye to ‘smart’ products, expanding any kind of business, cars, etc. Everything relies on some kind of DRAM these days.

Very likely that some degree of funding came from MS, usage of MS software is likely part of the contract.

Very little is American made.

How long before folks start building their own TVs?

No lie, if I could afford a car right now, I’d want a cheap electric. Beyond that, I’d LOVE to EV convert my dad’s old truck.

Eh, rumor is September along with the iPhone 18 and whatnot. Time will tell.

I’m personally waiting for a folding iPhone. I use an (old, 2nd gen) iPad to mix guitar tracks that I record, but it’s to the point where I can’t run effects and my DAW without having both crash. My phone’s also a bit long in the tooth so having one device that can do both jobs would be ideal for my particular use case.

And nothing of value was lost.

Except nobody manufactures it anymore.

So use a different panel/controls for that. I should not be able to start a car from a USB port or Bluetooth EVER, no matter how locked down the system is. Nothing with that sort of connectivity should come anywhere near the engine.

I truly don’t understand why the infotainment systems in vehicles aren’t air-gapped from the systems that run the vehicle.

They don’t even want people reporting such things. They’d probably just ignore all the reports anyway.

I hate the world they’re forcing us to consent to live in.
