That wouldn’t be too far fetched. Pepsi is a much larger company than Coca-Cola. Practically everything in the snack aisle is owned by Pepsi.

Use PieFed if you want to be able to view polls posted to various communities.
There’s even a Polls community on Lemmy.world, but you wouldn’t be able to see or interact with any actual poll posts unless you’re using something that supports viewing it (PieFed, Mbin?, Mastodon, etc).
Showing up once a week isn’t a problem if it’s only a handful of people going to the same place.
However, when you have a lot of people on this device in a small area, you’ll have to ask them to go farther and farther away. Or else you’re going to outsource who is checking on the device, and that’s going to start driving up the price for this service.
I use GrayJay, so if there’s ever a content creator that uploads to both YouTube and Odysee (or something else) then I default to following them on anything other than YouTube. In most cases that happens to be Odysee.
I don’t normally go to YouTube or Odysee just to browse available videos. But I have noticed that on both platforms you can tailor the content to show whatever you want. There are a lot of tech channels on Odysee.
As far as far right content, at one point I did attempt to compare the 2 platforms and I found that YouTube has almost all of the same channels that you see on Odysee. YouTube just does a better job with their algorithm at drowning those channels out.

It’s very likely, although it could be hard to gauge since this only affects some users, or only on some videos.
I did notice that some videos stopped showing comments and a description in GrayJay for a short time, but after some updates I haven’t notice this happening recently. So, it’s likely that they did find a workaround for this issue.
PieFed has already implemented a feature which allows mods to move posts from one community to another. Lemmy and NodeBB are also working on this feature.
Ideally we choose a community where these posts are moved to, that way any great discussions aren’t lost and they can carry on in the proper community.

Looks like Roblox forced everyone using Guilded to suddenly have a Roblox account in 2024, and then Guilder officially shut down about 2 months ago (end of 2025).
That looks like one very specific issue rather than a lot of issues of something to really worry about.
