To be fair, we will have full self driving by the end of the year, according to Elon every single year for the last decade.

The problem is the door locks are electric, so if the car loses low voltage power, the buttons to open the doors no longer work. Worse yet, the Model 3 only has emergency physical latches in the front seats, so good luck in the back, kids.

While I agree that the blind pursuit of capital will ultimately be our downfall, helium shortages actually have real, tangible effects on the very people you seem to vouch for.
I feel you’re lashing out for the mere sake of lashing out, regardless of who your target is. We’re on the same side here.

You asked:
So, really, what’s the actual fucking problem here?
That’s what they heard.
They answered:
No more medical imaging.
No more fibre optics.
No more semiconductors.
No more laparoscopic or eye surgery.
No more hard drives.
No more titanium.
No more rockets.
That’s what you didn’t hear I guess.

That’s a weeee bit different, no?
Woooooow soo brave, soooo controversial haha
I’m sure that type of behaviour is a good mix of nature and nurture. Maybe certain genetics can make one predisposed to it, but I’d bet social conditioning probably holds a significantly greater influence.

The only games I can’t play are games that install rootkits that I don’t want anyway. Now I don’t have to explain to people that I don’t want malware on my PC and can just say “Ah, shucks, can’t play, Linux” 10/10 recommend.

Whisper is actually one of OpenAI’s few open models and can just be run locally on your own system(s). No price traps here. Unethical and horrible? Yes. Technically and financially feasible for BK? Also yes :(.

Eh, to my knowledge, something like OpenAIs Whisper API for audio transcription is only $0.006/min, so $8.64 for an entire day’s worth of audio. From there, you could run some basic non-AI heuristics to determine if keywords were uttered or not per customer interaction.

I feel like camera only could theoretically pass human performance, but that hinges entirely on AI models that do not currently exist, and that those models, when they do exist, are capable of running inside of a damn car.
At that point, it’d be cheaper to just add LiDAR…

I will! They’re fucking stupid sheep

HDMI either works or it doesn’t. It’s not an analogue signal.
Edit: Well, nevermind lol.

“Toss some shrimp on the barbie”
What? Is this Aussie for kill CEOs?? Banned.

The whole website was probably built by agentic AI.

Of course they give a shit about kids safety. Specifically because of media blowback and legal ramifications, not for the sake of the actual kids of course, but still!

I think we’re watching it.

Welcome to my life since forever
-A pre-internet ADHD person lol
Edit to add: Not to handwave the problem away, I think it is legit an issue. I also just thought that was funny.
You even double qualified it, prefacing with “I believe”
What an ass
