Every time I heard the band name “Daft Punk,” it meant nothing to me. Toward the end of their existence I finally put the name with the music and hot damn that’s good stuff.

When I first started this job they did not tell me this food was deducted from our paycheck whether or not we even step foot into the cafeteria, so when I looked at my pay stub a few months into my employment, was a little surprised but then realized based on what I’ve learned about human nature over the years, when people receive something for free they tend to appreciate it less, and abuse/misuse even disrespect such privileges, so I think it’s appropriate that we pay for this food. It only breaks down to $5.50 a day* for all you can eat buffet so it’s a pretty damn good deal as long as we use it because again, pretty sure they deduct the cafeteria fee from our paychecks whether or not we ever step foot in there.

• I did the math, I’ve only worked 28 days this year so far and they’ve deducted total $155.13 from my pay for the cafeteria this year so it breaks down to about $5.50 a day.

This job is at a m/billionaires club, so there’s a huge kitchen constantly churning out 5-star meals to the m/billionaires, with plenty overflowing to the employee cafeteria. But ain’t nothing come for free! We employees sacrifice $30 deducted per paycheck for this food.

My job has employee buffet every day all day long, so here’s my lunch break and I was so glad they had leftover omelets & bacon from this morning and I was texting with my boyfriend and he asked me what I was doing so I took a picture of this to show him what I was doing at the moment:

Well I started with Soylent powder in 2017, then they introduced their bottled ready-to-drink option which was great until circa 2019 they started cheaping out on ingredients & their sweetener so I switched to different brands finally landing on Jimmy Joy which is from the Netherlands. Jimmy Joy sells M.R. powders & bars & even savory soups all in a variety of flavors, and the affordability is excellent.

Yes. And I loved it so much I never left. I live here now. But I’m not gonna tell you where I live 😉

Hey I’ve been living on Soylent for years and I see my doctor regularly and take regular blood screenings and one of my doctors told me that my blood labs came back perfect and he said “whatever you’re doing, keep doing it.” He didn’t know that I’m living on meal replacements. Meal replacements are for health fanatics, understandable that not everybody would want to eat this way. But nutritionally & convenience-wise, it really is superior to food. It provides all our essential nutrients in one easy place without having to compile recipes & go shopping & figure out nutrients & mathematics & chopping vegetables & cooking & cleaning dishes. Don’t have to do any of that anymore! Perfect nutrition has never been so easy. We are living in the future. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it. And after you’ve tried it you probably won’t knock it unless you can’t handle how limited it might feel for you to live on meal replacements. It’s for health fanatics. Not everybody’s ready for that.

But for the last 10 years I’ve been able to frolic around in bikinis (am woman) and am athletically peak & I feel great & it’s pretty much effortless because you are what you eat, and meal replacements are perfect nutrition with no stress, no effort.
