As someone not from Germany but living there, I would recommend Tatort (Münster) and Traum Schiff.
I love it, but even if it’s not for everyone I feel like every country has cheesy shows like these and its interesting to see the German version.

Again. That is a valid feeling.
Be sceptical, be cynical, but don’t get that fatalist mindset where you feel like your choices won’t make a difference.
Not every small choice will make a difference, but some will, you just won’t know which one’s or what their effect will be.

The idea here is that by spending too long looking for the prefect solution and dismissing anything that is not perfect, you allow the bad system to thrive.
Regular and consistent changes for the better should not be dismissed because they could be better. Just keep trying to improve the system, no matter how small the change.

Valid point but do you think they would be more or less greedy if they had no competition?

I don’t think downvotes are necessary for every type of post. Art and information are personal, so if you don’t like it you should just move on.
I think opinion pieces, advice or just wrong information are the exact reason why downvotes are needed.
Advice with a lot of downvotes appears to be wrong. A news source with a lot of downvotes appears to misleading or false. If you post your opinion, downvotes show people disagree with your point of view.
It works for me, and if you disagree, feel free to downvotes this comment. I don’t seem it as a personal attack.
Edit: fyi, I upvoted your post as like the engagement on this subject.
