I’ve seen several users with unresolvable usernames that were basic western text, this is an ongoing issue and I always report it to the mods but apparently it’s still happening.

I’ve seen several users in the past few months that have profiles that go to errors when you click on them and they’re always weird trolls like this.

I’ve seen several accounts here on Lemmy that go to an error page when you click on the name on their post. I always report them to the admins and never see them again. Never heard back from anyone what’s going on. I’ve developed a habit of checking the profiles of posts that just seem off.

I’m only speculating, no proof at all but believable interpretations of the names listed in my opinion. I’d never heard anything bad spoken about either man in the past, who are both very prominent in their fields, but I’ve also never sought out information on eithers’ personal life.

Any google search will provide evidence Epstein sought out or otherwise attracted prominent scientists and intellectuals like Stephen Hawking, Steven Pinker and Noam Chomsky.

Edit: also Gould is likely Steven Jay Gould, evolutionary biologist. Guess what we’ve been hearing about him collecting elite scientists is true. Or maybe this was a wish list?

Does Matrix have problems I’m not aware of as an alternative? Saw they have 115 million accounts compared to Discord’s 500 million so its already well tested? Not a user of either service.
