To address both you and the person below you: he deliberately gave himself lead poisoning on national television by inhaling the concentrated vapor of leaded gasoline for over a minute. He did this not because he was ignorant of the health dangers of lead (he had already had lead poisoning TWICE BEFORE), but because he was purposefully misleading the public.
Invented CFCs like Freon, which caused the hole in the ozone layer, and then later went on to pioneer the use of lead in gasoline, which is estimated to have resulted in the cumulative loss of millions of IQ points from humanity during its use, not to mention lead-derived cancers and other illnesses.
Possibly the single greatest negative contribution to the environment and humanity.
I have a long-term art project on the list where I carve a runestone and just leave it in the woods somewhere.

It would be an absolute deal breaker for me. There has never yet been a commercially available AI that doesn’t hallucinate, and there’s no element of my healthcare where I’m comfortable having facts be unreliable.

I remember when I was in the Navy, I wasn’t paying attention once and stood up into a bundle of cables running along the overhead. Part of it sliced my scalp open and blood was pouring down my face. I stood there completely flabbergasted with my mind an utter and complete blank, and the only thing that came out of my mouth, completely unprompted, was “Shit in God’s beard!”
No idea why. I had never said it before or ever since. Brains are weird.
If there’s one thing I know from every dicey situation I’ve ever been in, including in the military, it’s that you never know what your brain will pull out of its darkest reaches when you least expect it.
