The shuttle goes from the parking lot to the stadium. Met life stadium is in the middle of nowhere on the side of a highway. The lots are so big and widespread that there are busses so people don’t have to walk all the way to/from their car.
Some lots around met life include a shuttle as part of the parking fee. It sucks, you pay over $100 for a parking spot 3 miles from the stadium and then have to watch a jets or Giants game.

It’s all planned. It costs about the same to assemble an SUV as a sedan. Materials are more. But you increase your margin with a larger car. The shareholders like this.
That’s why I typically bring 2 cars when I go to Texas.
This is a self solving problem. It’s a classic bacterial growth curve. Eventually the rate of traffic accidents will push into a death phase where the rate will decrease because there are so few drivers left alive.
