    It just sounded to me on the CNN article, that the guy was probably set in his way to suicide and he just turned to ChatGPT to help draft him a suicide note because he couldn’t bear to make it himself.

          Wanting the noose to be discovered was a cry for help.

          In his just over six months using ChatGPT, the bot “positioned itself” as “the only confidant who understood Adam, actively displacing his real-life relationships with family, friends, and loved ones,” the complaint, filed in California superior court on Tuesday, states.

            Okay, there’s a lot of variables here we don’t understand about the dude’s life past what is reported here. We don’t know if his family and friends sucked. We don’t know if everything around him sucked. But from personal experience, if there’s nobody that’s getting you that you have to go and talk with an external source, of one of AI, then there’s a plausibility that the dude’s existence wasn’t fruitful.
