    I miss the days when companies would grandfather your price in, so price hikes only effected new users… Now days everyone pays.

      Those days were brief if they ever existed. It’s actually pretty common to offer new users even sweeter deals for joining, and zero promotions to get loyal users to stay.

        Yeah but we are seeing the opposite of that right now with Netflix raising their base rates, short term promotions are what new users get these days.

        Cell phone plans, software, other subscription services have definitely kept user rates locked in despite rising base rates.
