EU should be saying “go fuck yourself”. Perhaps that does translate into gentler political language as “we aren’t keen at this time”. I prefer the former.

As for Iran, there has never been a joint decision on the ‘whether’ of the matter. That is why the question of how Germany might become militarily involved here does not arise,”
