i dont care if they work, I’ll always jaywalk and when I’m on the other side if it works I press the button and go about my way so I slow down the next traffic for fun
Where I live, pedestrians are always right. Doesn’t make me jump in traffic (because if you don’t want to die, you have to wait) but it’s a good thing IMO. Jaywalking? Get rid of that lunacy ffs.
I don’t straight jump into traffic I just make calculated risks and then jump. the only times I’ve been near-run over was when I was waiting and normally walking, the asshole just didn’t stop I was pushed by his hood. then another time while skateboarding a car was undecided while parking and decided to randomly reverse on the sidewalk I was skating on
I hate those fake buttons so much. And love them when they are actually active.
I’m a fan of referring to them as beg buttons, a term that I was introduced to through Not Just Bikes on YouTube
