    I think he’s more of a useful idiot who Putin nudged in the right direction.

    Like everyone else, he’s happy to throw Putin aside if he doesn’t seem useful anymore.

      That suggests Trump is the person in charge, but there is more evidence of the contrary. I can name a bunch of times where Trump was expected to do A but then after a call from Putin suddenly went and did B. Yet I can’t name a single time where it was the other way around. I consider it quite likely Putin has some sort of information that he is holding over Trump. Considering the morals Trump displays I wouldn’t be surprised if he did something he doesn’t want people to know about
