Snopes verified that the DOJ published and then removed this document, and we did not investigate the legitimacy of the accusations themselves. The allegations stemmed from an unverified, anonymous message to the FBI. They were unsupported by any credible evidence.

To be clear: When serious allegations come out about the kind of abuse which most certainly happened, some people are going to come out of the woodwork with false claims. Mental illness is a thing. I have doubts about this specific claim, mainly because why would a child know the names of all these people who would be obscure to a child? It was also anonymous with no way to follow up.
That does not excuse Trump from anything, nor DoJ for removing the document.
But accusations must be substantiated, no matter who they are made against.
They have had plenty of time to salt misinformation into the releases. This will give them things to point at and discredit the entire endeavor.
