… you know they have cameras?
Went from DDG to start page. I’d use kagi if they weren’t frugal with searches.
I have a 15ILL9 and it’s fine on Linux. There’s issues with Microsoft modern standby but the Arch wiki has a fix to resume fan control. I’m using the EAS scheduler with schedutil. I have it tuned to comfortably sit within 5-6 watts while performing acceptably. Its battery is 70wh.

Yeah. I had a locker next to the school’s music room in the farthest corner once. Fun year.

Comparing learning methods and then associating their benefits with the technology feels… fallacious.
For this reason I actually recommend a cheap Android tablet for digital note taking since it is well worth the price. I used to carry paper with me, but having the ability to quickly review notes across several classes (lectures and books) is a game changer. Need to know what was discussed last week? What you took on a topic? It’s very cumbersome with paper.
I feel like ‘technology’ is different when you actually own the tech you’re given. When you can do things with it. Not when it’s a digital casino in your pocket controlled by big corporations.

No!! The courts I rigged!! They ruled against me! Fuck!

They’re competing for government contracts and tax payer money, right?
I learned how to touch type in grade school, but quickly forgot after that. It’s just not that ergonomic to keep your hands in that position. However, it did give me the necessary memory of where all the keys are. My hands can magnetically reach each key without a lot of difficulty. I could type pretty quickly if I wanted to but I’m usually limited by my speed of thought and usually make quite a few typing mistakes.

I’m glad people are now speaking about alternatives. The collective ignorance was so unbearable before now.

I was under the impression that Google just didn’t delete data — ever. Like, it’s way more valuable compared to the cost of the disk.

which opinions?

holy fucking shit… every day I get older the more I agree with Stallman on most everything
The mobile app is garbage, posts either get no responses or way too many, bots, endless bickering (much like Lemmy), and being a proprietary tracking PoS.

Since there’s 78 pages, I’m guessing at least 1 ambiguity per page? Anyways, it’s dreadfully big.

I tried to leave a comment, but it doesn’t seem to be showing up there.
I’ll just leave it here:
too tired to look into this, one suggestion though - since the hangup seems to be comparing an L and a 1, maybe you need to get into per-pixel measurements. This might be necessary if the effectiveness of ML or OCR models isn’t at least 99.5% for a document containing thousands of ambiguous L’s. Any inaccuracies from an ML or OCR model will leave you guessing 2^N candidates which becomes infeasible quickly. Maybe reverse engineering the font rendering by creating an exact replica of the source image? I trust some talented hacker will nail this in no time.
i also support the idea to check for pdf errors using a stream decoder.

my direct supervisor has showed me what information he has access to w.r.t. wireless client information, such as client position.
My first thought would be how that is even possible, but given the fact that we record the location of each AP install, this makes a lot more sense.

Was 19. Needed it for a job and got it in 2 weeks. Took the permit test after a few nights of studying. Took a driving course online while I was sick and then scheduled a driving exam. Lots of practice with my dad doing the exact stuff that was on the test. I had an expired permit from when I was also 16… never had the courage to get a license. I also felt trapped despite biking places. Many places were just outside my reach, including jobs. I was terrified of driving because it felt too complicated. I eventually got accustomed after a summer of driving to work.
Tips: drive around the area you’re testing in. Never hit the curb when parallel parking. Always Be Signaling (ABS). Come to a complete (0m/s) stop before a stop sign. Make sure to make it obvious you’re checking your mirrors, etc. because the grader is looking at your eyes.
Years before I got my license, I took some lessons with a driving instructor. They’d take you on some rides, some on the highway, some doing simple stuff. It was helpful. When I got my license, I kind of already knew how to drive, just wasn’t that familiar with the rules.

my first thought, but it doesn’t really make sense since I’m not sure crossover is a completely reversed version of straight. Also this cable leads down to an actual patch panel.
everything with this admin is just to boost artificial scarcity… even with IP routers
